Arabian Night

Welcome back habibi’s!

This past weekend, we went to our beloved friends bridal shower (congrats Neeha, for tying the knot!) and it was Arabian themed, which was of course an excuse to go all out!  If you already didn’t know, being the divas we are, we love dressing up! Especially since this was an Arabian, black and gold themed shower, we decided to go all out with the accessories and bold smokey eyes.

The theme called for black and gold, and we have to admit, and we’re sure some of you can as well - it’s hard to pair up a unique outfit when you know everyone else will be wearing the same exact combo! But we found once we put together things in our closet, we did pretty well if we do say so ourselves. We decided to go with three different outfit looks, to give you guys three different options and also just because that’s really what we wanted to wear and felt most “Arab” in.

However, at the end, we found the real Arabian came out in us in our makeup!
Maryam went full out with a strong contour, a dramatic sparkle smokey eye, and bold red lip while she did a subtle smokey eye on Neha, which flattered her strong contour and bold red lip as well. They both went for peach blush and a subtle highlight just to enhance their features a bit more. (For makeup inquiries, DM Maryam on Instagram @mshaffee!) Afiyah also went for a bold glossy red lip as well, which complimented her rosy cheeks and her sublte eyes. Makeup is always fun to play with and something you can take advantage of on nights like these!

Black and gold, got a major transformation! So ladies, we hope you learnt some of the key secrets that we used to enhance the colors we were given to work it. And for those of you who are still trying to snap back to reality after that overwhelmingly exciting part about our makeup, we are too! Try it out, and let us know how you worked with simple colors and bold make up. With that, we hope you enjoyed our little Arab transformation, stay tuned for our next post! In the meantime, our outfit and makeup details are below. Enough rambling for now, until next time! X

JUST FOR FUN! During the Bridal Shower, of course we got to participate in fun bridal games and one was making a wedding gown from just one roll of toilet paper! Maryam and Neha were partners and Maryam created this on Neha! Think it was pretty good for just one roll don't you think?
